Acolytes
If your child is in grade 3 or higher, please sign him or her up to be an acolyte at church. The sign-up sheet is located on the bulletin board outside the Community Room. Training is available at any time with prior notice given to Deb Cullen.
The word acolyte is derived from the Greek word akolouthos, meaning companion, attendant, or helper.
In many Christian denominations an acolyte is anyone who performs ceremonial duties such as lighting alter candles.
