There are quite a few openings for someone to host the Fellowship Hour on Sunday. While many groups sign up for a month at a time, you certainly do not have to do that. Please feel free to ask questions of Steve or Shelley Coppola, Shirley Lam or Sharon Klepfer if you have any concerns about what to do in the kitchen.

The 2010 flower chart is up and has lots of opportunities for you to provide altar flowers. After worship, you can either take the flowers home with you, or someone from the Congregational Concerns Committee will deliver them to a person who has been ill, or in the hospital, or even just homebound. The cost is $30, and checks can be made payable to the Women’s Association of Amherst Community Church.

Would you be interested in ushering on any given Sunday? We are looking to find some people who would be willing to be head usher for a month at a time. It isn’t a difficult job, and there are always a lot of people willing to help you. We have an information sheet available if you are wondering what is involved in the job. You can contact Nancy Elliott or any member of the Inreach Board for information: Shelley Coppola, Wendy Creech, Jean Haller, Sharon Klepfer and Jane Sorensen.

Have you noticed the new chairs in the narthex? How about the new arrangement of the furniture in there? You can thank Wendy and Alan Creech for doing the work. Alan refinished the drop-leaf table, and Wendy did the shopping for the chairs and the lamp. The funds to make these purchases came out of the Memorial Fund. Be sure to thank them for their hard work.
