PBS will broad-cast nationally a one-hour documentary, Chautauqua, An American Narrative. This has been produced lo-cally by WNED (Channel 17) and distributed nation-ally. It attempts to answer the question: What is the Chautauqua Institution, a national treasure only 80 miles from Buffalo? The material for the special was filmed during the nine-week summer season in 2009. Shirley and I have seen the program and urge you to view it whether you have attended Chautauqua pro-grams, have been thinking of going or perhaps ha-ven’t even thought about what you are missing. Af-terward, I’d be delighted to talk to you about the pro-gram.
