This week at ACC

Second Sunday after Pentecost

Groceries for half the cost! Be aware of a wonderful program called Angel Food Ministries, available to all. Snyder has a distribution point church right around the corner from ACC at Christ United Methodist Church. The goal of this non-profit organization, started 13 years ago by Georgia ministers, is to shop in bulk and provide fami-lies and individuals with big savings – 50 percent off their grocery bills. The food is sold at cost through churches in 39 states. Nutritious, healthy meals for cheap, and the menus vary each month. A week’s worth of food that might retail at $60 costs $30. Meat, canned and frozen vegetables, milk, eggs, senior dinners, fish, fresh fruits and vegetables are all options on the menus. The Buffalo News and WIVB-TV had news articles on this program, which is also available in other places in Erie County. For information, see the Web site www.angelfood ministries.com. Christ United Methodist Church is at 350 Saratoga Ave., Snyder; the director there is Chris Klenk, 839-2460.

ACC Prayer Chain
ACC's "Prayer Chain" is always open to prayer request. These request are for either "Joys", or "Concerns". For example, if you or someone you know is facing surgery, illness, or other hard times (concerns), or maybe someone has had a new baby (joy), members of the Prayer Chain will raise that to God in private prayer. To bring a Joy or Concern before this group, please call the church office at 716-834-9700, fill out a prayer request card in the pews, or let Pastor Scott know. Let's make regular use of this wonderful ministry within our faith community.
