A truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms when his hands are empty.  – Author Unknown

Witnessing my children in the arms of their dad always brings tears of joy to my eyes. In those moments, I am reminded that my dear husband loves them as much as I do. How blessed we are!  Thank you, to my husband and all the dads who read this, for all that you are, for all that you do, and for being a GREAT dad!

Congratulations to all our graduates! As you make your way in the world, remember that you will always be welcomed home here at Amherst Community Church. May God bless your journey with good friends, life-changing learning, and both joy and heartbreak, for you will grow from all these things.

GOOD JOB, middle schoolers! Your efforts with the Soles for Souls project are very much appreciated.  A total of 320 pairs of shoes were collected! Most of these came from the collection box on the first floor, so a big thank-you to ACCCCC as well!

My deep appreciation goes to the teachers for the past semester!  They are very faithful and hard-working people, and I am grateful for all they have done for the children among us. Please join me in thanking Mark Swihart (pre-K and kindergarten), Karen Terhaar (1st grade), Stacy Nichols (2nd and 3rd grades), Julie Coe (4th-8th grade), and Steve and Shelley Coppola and Linda Kaczor (senior high).  Job well done, friends!

Christian education continues through the summer!  You are encouraged to sign up to teach a Sunday school class during the summer.  Check the bulletin board outside the Community Room.

Vacation Bible School will take place in August.  Please be watching the Sunday bulletins for items needed as well as opportunities to help. We are currently in need of an activities director and either a music leader or a preschool teacher.  Please contact me today!  Thanks!

Would you prayerfully consider joining the Christian Education Board? Your presence and thoughts would be most welcome!

Joyfully,

Deb Cullen
