Ongoing Projects:
Hygiene Kits for Church World Service
Each year, ACC members collect and assemble hygiene and cleaning products for those suffering from disasters around the country and world that are distributed by Church World Service (CWS). ACC also serves as a yearly "Depot" where area churches can bring their congregation's CWS kit donations to us, and we transport everything together to the collection point in Rochester.
Donations for 2023 were received on April 3 & April 4.

Souper Bowl of Caring

ACC is committed to helping those facing hunger and food insecurity in our community. One way we do that is by participating in the Souper Bowl of Caring. On Super Bowl Sunday, the congregation brings monetary and/or food donations to church. The money and items collected are distributed to area organizations and food pantries.

In 2022, we raised funds for Tiger's Den Food Pantry here in Amherst. In 2023, we will be donating canned goods to Tiger's Den, as well as supporting them, Friends of Night People, and Matt Urban Center with our financial contributions.

Home Again Program
ACC has a long history of partnering with Journey's End Refugee Services' Home Again program. We collect an apartment's worth of furniture & household supplies that a family will need in their new home in Buffalo. Since we never know exactly when an apartment will become available, our volunteers mobilize quickly to load & prepare for move in day!
